For a Property Management System (PMS) to successfully integrate with Wander, it must be configured to support a specific inventory model. Wander’s booking engine requires a direct link to a specific physical asset to manage availability, pricing, and blocks correctly.
Core Requirement: The "Vacation Rental" Model (1:1 Mapping)
Wander only supports the "Vacation Rental" or "Short-Term Rental (STR)" inventory model.
Definition: Each physical unit must have its own unique listing ID and its own dedicated calendar in the PMS.
Requirement: There must be a strict 1:1 mapping between a listing on the Wander site and a specific calendar in your PMS.
Inventory Models NOT Supported: "Pooled" or "Hotel-Style"
Wander does not support "Hotel-style" or "Pooled Inventory" configurations.
Definition: This model lists a generic "Room Type" (e.g., "2BR Ocean View Condo") where the PMS automatically assigns a guest to any available unit from a pool of identical inventory upon booking.
Why it fails: Wander’s integration engine needs to know exactly which specific unit to check for availability and which specific calendar to block. In a pooled model, this specific unit ID is missing or dynamic, causing the integration to fail.
Guidance for Multi-Unit Buildings (e.g., Condos)
You can list multiple units within the same building (e.g., 5 different condos in the same complex), but they cannot be grouped under a single "type."
Correct Setup: Create 5 separate listings in your PMS (e.g., "Ocean View Unit 101", "Ocean View Unit 102"), each with its own photos, description, and calendar.
Incorrect Setup: Creating one single listing called "Ocean View Condos" with a quantity of 5.
Supported PMS Integrations
The following systems are currently supported, provided they are configured with the 1:1 inventory model described above:
Streamline
Escapia
Guesty
Hostaway
Lodgify
OwnerRez
Track
RentalsUnited
Note: Pricing models (e.g., Length of Stay vs. Nightly) and tax configurations may vary by PMS, but the 1:1 inventory mapping is a universal requirement for all Wander integrations.
