Where to Start?
When you first log in, GoHighLevel may seem overwhelming, but don’t worry! We’ll go step by step.
Understanding the GoHighLevel Navigation
📌 Left Sidebar: Main navigation—switch between different areas of the platform.
📌 Top Menu Bar: Shows subcategories for each section you select.
📌 Settings Tab (Bottom Left): Where you configure your business details and preferences.
Step 1: Set Up Your Business Profile
Your business profile ensures your GoHighLevel account runs smoothly, especially for texting and automation.
1️⃣ Go to → Settings (bottom left menu).
2️⃣ Business Profile Section: Fill in the following:
Friendly Business Name (e.g., ABC Window Cleaning)
Legal Business Name (e.g., ABC Window Cleaning LLC)
Business Email & Phone Number (Needed for SMS & call features)
Business Website (Optional but recommended)
Business Niche/Industry (Pick the closest match)
3️⃣ Click Update Information ✅
Step 2: Verify Your Business Registration
GoHighLevel requires basic registration details to activate communication features.
1️⃣ Choose your business type: LLC, Corporation, Partnership, etc.
2️⃣ Enter your EIN (U.S.) or equivalent ID (for other countries).
3️⃣ If you’re a sole proprietor, check the box "Business is not registered as an entity."
4️⃣ Enter your region of operation.
5️⃣ Click Update Information ✅
Step 3: Add Your Business Address & Time Zone
1️⃣ Enter your physical business address.
2️⃣ Set your time zone (Important for automation timing).
3️⃣ Click Update Information ✅
Step 4: Assign an Authorized Representative
If you manage your own account, enter your name as the authorized representative.
If a team member will handle this, enter their details.
Click Update Information ✅
