Watalook Deposits – a feature that allows beauty professionals to send advance payment requests to their clients and receive deposits in the Watalook app.
The deposit request is sent when creating a new client reservation or assigning a deposit to an already created (but not yet completed) reservation.
The Watalook Deposit request is sent via SMS. The Watalook app generates a link to the deposit request along with the template text of the message in the beauty professional phone's SMS-sending app. The beauty professional can edit the message text before sending it.
Important: the text of the message can be edited, but not the deposit link; it must remain unchanged, otherwise the payment will not go through.
The Watalook Deposit amount is equal to the specified service price (100% of the service price).
Watalook Deposits are paid before the reservation starts and are not refundable if the client does not show up or cancels the visit. The exception is when the beauty professional cancels a reservation for which the deposit payment has been made. In this case, the money is automatically fully refunded to the client.
Watalook Deposits are available to all Watalook App users who have enabled Electronic Payments. You can activate Electronic Payments in the app by selecting Profile>Payments and completing the necessary identity verification steps, followed by linking your bank account (Profile>Payouts).
There are two ways to withdraw Watalook Advances to the beauty professional's bank account:
Automatic: the system automatically transfers funds from the beauty professional's Watalook wallet to the bank account on the 1st and 16th day of each month, regardless of the amount accumulated in the Watalook wallet.
Instant Payment: a beauty professional with at least 100 Euros in their Watalook wallet can make an instant withdrawal to their bank account. Instant payment reaches the beauty professional's bank account within 24 hours.
A 3% + VAT fee is applied to Watalook Deposits.
