Scorecards Overview Video

Getting Started with Scorecards

Scorecards in Wave help your team stay accountable to the numbers that drive your business forward. They bring visibility to key metrics, create healthy tension around performance, and make it easy to see how you are tracking toward your goals.

If you are familiar with the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework, Scorecards will feel familiar. They serve as your weekly snapshot of business health.

Inside Wave, we have taken that same concept and made it smarter and more connected. You can link metrics to Rocks, Projects, and KPIs so that progress updates automatically and everything stays in sync.

When your team has clear data, everyone knows where to focus and how to improve.

How Scorecards Work

Each Scorecard in Wave includes a set of measurable metrics that track performance over time. You can customize these metrics by department, team, or individual. Each metric includes:

  • Name and description to clarify what is being measured

  • Target value to define success

  • Current value that updates weekly or monthly

  • Status (On Track, At Risk, or Off Track) for quick visibility

Scorecards are accessible from your My OS page, Meetings, and Reports so your data is always available where you need it. During weekly meetings, teams can review their metrics, discuss variances, and assign next steps.

Because Wave connects your Scorecards to other tools like Rocks, Projects, and KPIs, you no longer need to copy and paste information between systems. Your data updates in one place and flows everywhere it is needed.

Best Practices for Using Scorecards

To get the most value from your Scorecards, follow these best practices:

  1. Choose the right metrics. Focus on a handful of leading indicators that truly reflect progress. Avoid tracking too many numbers.

  2. Set clear targets. Define what success looks like for each metric so everyone understands the goal.

  3. Assign ownership. Each metric should have one person responsible for updating and reporting it.

  4. Review weekly. Build a consistent rhythm of reviewing metrics in meetings to identify issues early.

  5. Take action. When something is off track, create a discussion or add it to your Issues list to resolve it quickly.

Why Scorecards Matter

Scorecards help teams stay objective and aligned around measurable results. They turn goals into data, data into insights, and insights into action.

When everyone can see the same numbers, communication becomes clear and accountability becomes natural. With Wave, your Scorecards are connected to your entire operating system, giving you real-time visibility into how your business is performing.

Start using Scorecards today to make better decisions, move faster, and keep your company on track.
