Projects Overview Video

Getting Started with Projects

Projects in Wave help your team organize work and move big goals forward with structure and accountability. They are designed to turn your company’s Rocks, initiatives, or ideas into actionable plans that everyone can follow.

If you are familiar with the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework, Projects will feel familiar. They take your Rocks and break them into manageable steps, keeping your team focused on progress instead of confusion. For startups, Projects create the operational clarity needed to execute consistently and hit milestones on time.

With Projects, you can easily see what is being worked on, who is responsible, and how everything connects to your broader goals.

How Projects Work

Inside Wave, each Project includes a clear title, owner, start and due date, and task list. Projects can also include linked Rocks, Scorecards, or Issues to keep everything connected.

You can track progress visually, assign responsibilities, and see where each task stands. Projects can be organized by department, team, or initiative so your company stays aligned from top to bottom.

Wave keeps everything in sync across the platform. For example:

  • Link Rocks to Projects to turn high-level goals into actionable steps.

  • Review Projects in Meetings to track updates and assign next steps.

  • Use Lists to capture and manage smaller tasks related to a Project.

  • Connect KPIs or Scorecards to measure progress against key outcomes.

This structure makes it easy to move from planning to execution without losing momentum or clarity.

Best Practices for Using Projects

To get the most value from Projects, follow these best practices:

  1. Start with clear goals. Every Project should have a clear outcome that supports a larger Rock or company objective.

  2. Define ownership. Each Project should have one owner responsible for driving progress.

  3. Break it down. Create actionable tasks with due dates to ensure steady progress.

  4. Track weekly. Review status during Meetings or Stand Ups to keep accountability strong.

  5. Celebrate completion. When a Project is finished, take time to recognize the team’s work and lessons learned.

Why Projects Matter

Projects turn strategy into action. They help teams move from goals to results with structure, visibility, and collaboration.

By connecting Projects to the rest of Wave, your company can track priorities, measure impact, and stay aligned without switching tools. This makes execution faster and more consistent.

Start creating Projects today to bring focus, accountability, and momentum to your team’s biggest goals.
