You shouldn't need to because we have high standards for the homes we buy. But, if you want to completely re-fit the kitchen or bathroom, here's a basic overview of how it works.

How it works

You'll need to re-fit the kitchen or bathroom on a supply and fit basis, using one of our approved providers. Supply and fit means the same company provides and installs the new kitchen or bathroom. They'll also connect any electrical or gas appliances for you.

You'll need to replace the entire bathroom or kitchen suite. Right now, you can't just replace the toilet, for example.

You also can't do any major structural work like moving or knocking down walls.

Our approved suppliers

Approved supplier panel - on supply & fit basis

  • B&Q (2 year installation warranty)

  • Ikea (5 year installation warranty)

  • John Lewis (2 year installation warranty)

  • Magnet (kitchens only, 2 year installation warranty)

  • Wickes (2 year installation warranty)

  • Wren (kitchens only, 5 year installation warranty)

Other things to consider before going ahead:

  1. You'll need to provide plans and proof of funds

  2. We'll need to approve it

  3. You'll be responsible for all the costs

  4. Equity percentages will remain the same

  5. You'll need to cover any costs we incur for things like signing it off, remedial works, or if there are quality issues

  6. You may need to cover the cost of a new Gas Safety Certificate or Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
