What changes can I make to my property?

  • Internal changes that DO NOT require permission from Wayhome:

    • Changing the flooring/carpets

    • Painting the walls/ceilings

    • Curtains and window dressings

    • Kitchen carcasses, doors or worktops

    • Integrated appliances/ white goods

    • Loft insulation

  • Internal changes that DO require permission from Wayhome:

    • Fireplace installation

    • Replacing boiler

    • Complete or partial replacement of bathroom and/ or kitchen. This must be done on a supply and fit basis, meaning the same company provides and installs the new bathroom/kitchen. Our recommended suppliers are:

      • B&Q

      • Ikea

      • John Lewis

      • Magnet

      • Wickes

      • Wren

  • External changes that DO NOT require permission from Wayhome:

    • Fences and boundaries

    • Grounds & paths

    • Brickwork, render & facade coverings

  • External changes that DO require permission from Wayhome:

    • Windows/doors

    • Sheds/outbuilding

  • We DO NOT currently allow any structural changes:

    • Loft conversions

    • Moving or knocking down walls

    • Adding extra bathrooms/ bedrooms

    • Extensions / conservatories
