Credit balances, monthly credits, feature access, and export limits depend on your plan. Some AI generation tools may use credits automatically after the task is completed.
Credits are used for AI tasks in WayinVideo. Some tasks are based on video length, while other generation tools may use credits when a new result is generated or applied.
Basic manual edits, such as trimming, layout changes, text overlays, and non-generated elements, do not use credits.

Clipping credit rates
AI Clipping, Game Clipping, and Find Moments all create video clip results, so they use clipping credits based on video length.

Repeat clipping with Find Moments
If you already used AI Clipping or Game Clipping on a video, then use Find Moments on the same video, the Find Moments task is treated as repeat clipping.
In this case, Find Moments uses 1 credit per input minute instead of 2 credits per input minute.
This is useful when you first create a general set of clips, then later want to search for something more specific, such as:
A certain character, product, or scene
A quote or topic
A reaction, emotion, or action
A moment that was not included in the first clip set
Summary and transcript credit rates
Video Summary and Transcript are for understanding the video content. They do not create video clip results.

Editor generation tools
Some editor tools create new AI-generated content or apply AI-powered enhancements. These tools can use credits each time you generate or apply them.
The exact credit use can vary by feature, so this article does not list every editor tool as a separate credit formula.

Regenerating a result may start a new task and may use credits again, unless the previous task failed and did not deliver a completed result.
Basic edits that do not use credits
Basic editor actions do not use credits because they do not generate new AI results.
Examples include:
Trim
Manual reframe or layout changes
Adding or editing text
Adding non-generated elements
Moving items on the timeline
Adjusting styles, timing, or placement
These edits are available to all users and do not use credits.
Monthly credit reset
Paid plan credits reset every month based on your billing cycle. Unused monthly credits do not roll over to the next month.
Free credits are one-time signup credits and do not renew monthly.
If you are on Free or Starter and need more monthly credits, you can upgrade to a higher plan.
If you are already on Pro or Scale and your current Pack is not enough, you can upgrade your Pack. A higher Pack gives you more monthly credits while the rest of your plan benefits stay the same. Future renewals will use the upgraded Pack unless you change or cancel before the next renewal.
If you are on Scale and need a custom credit volume or higher-volume arrangement, contact support for a tailored setup.
Failed tasks
If a task fails and does not deliver a completed result, the credits or usage allowance used by that task are returned.
For AI video generation, this means usage is returned if you do not receive a completed generated video that you can view.
For other individual AI features, credits are returned when that feature fails. This is different from a completed result that you simply choose not to use.
If you believe a completed result was unusable because of a product error, contact support with the project name, task type, approximate time, and any error message or screenshot.
How to avoid unexpected credit use
Before starting a task:
Confirm whether you are clipping, summarizing, transcribing, or generating editor content
Review whether you are using Find Moments after a previous AI Clipping or Game Clipping task
Avoid regenerating results repeatedly unless you want a new output
Keep in mind that some editor generation tools may use credits when the new result is completed
