There are two main ways to guide clip results in WayinVideo:
Use clip length when you want AI Clipping to create shorter or longer clips.
Use prompts when you want Find Moments to search for a specific type of moment.
AI Clipping is automatic. You do not write a prompt for AI Clipping, and regenerating does not usually create a completely different set of moments. The main difference is usually the clip duration and how much context is included.
Find Moments is different. It lets you enter a prompt to search for a specific topic, quote, person, character, action, emotion, scene, product moment, or gameplay event.

Changing the clip length helps WayinVideo decide how much context to include around each highlight.

Medium clips | Complete answers, useful explanations, stories, and moments that need a little context |
Longer clips | More detailed explanations, setup-and-payoff moments, and clips where the viewer needs more background |
Shorter is not always better. A clip should be long enough for the moment to make sense, but not so long that the strongest part feels buried.
Use prompts in Find Moments
Prompts are used in Find Moments, not AI Clipping.
Use a prompt when you want WayinVideo to search for something specific in the video.
Good prompts usually include at least one of these:
A topic
A quote or question
A person or character
An action or gesture
An emotion or reaction
A product, object, logo, or UI screen
A scene or visual change
A gameplay event

Review before publishing
After changing clip length, regenerating, or using a Find Moments prompt, watch the clip before exporting.
Check:
The first few seconds have a clear hook
The main moment is not cut off
The clip has enough context
The ending feels natural
The clip length fits the platform
Subtitles, framing, and audio still look and sound right
If the moment is good but the timing is slightly off, open the clip in the editor and trim it manually.
