Overview

“Why are Content Connections Brands migrating to Wayward’s Platform?”

Wayward and Content Connections (HyphenSocial) are merging to bring you a single, more powerful destination for managing all of your Amazon affiliate efforts. Content Connections has given you access to HyphenSocial’s exclusive network of high-performing, brand authoritative publishers and the best in class Amazon analytics allowing sales tracking back to the URL and traffic source, while Wayward expands your reach to include a broader ecosystem of digital publishers, influencers, and Onsite Amazon creators. By combining forces, we’re eliminating the need to juggle multiple platforms—giving you one streamlined hub to run, scale, and optimize your affiliate program with maximum efficiency and impact. We’re proud to be the only platform with no monthly fees—you only pay when we drive incremental sales.

Combined Platform Overview: We’re taking a phased approach to this migration to ensure a smooth transition. Starting May 1, all brands will be migrated to Wayward and gain access to the core set of features needed to manage your Amazon affiliate efforts—campaign management, billing, reporting, and access to both HyphenSocial’s publisher network and Wayward’s broader ecosystem. Fast following into Phase 2, we’ll roll out additional features that bring even more control, visibility, and performance optimization to your campaigns. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way.

Features Available May 1st, 2025:

  • Expanded Network Access: In addition to the publishers you access on Content Connections, you’ll also seamlessly tap into Wayward’s extensive pool of 6K+ top digital creators and publishers, providing your brand with broader exposure and fresh partnership opportunities.

  • Performance-Based Fully Managed Service: Once onboarded and integrated, Wayward’s advanced algorithms pair your products to creators and publishers, and you pay only for verified Amazon sales.

  • Exclusive Owned Publishers: Generate promotions and placements in Wayward’s owned publisher sites (like Mother.ly), which collectively drive millions of dollars in monthly sales.

  • Amazon Onsite Influencer Content: Partner with Wayward’s exclusive community of top Onsite Amazon influencers to create compelling content directly on your listings—boosting trust, conversion rates, and brand visibility.

  • Efficient Campaign Management: Seamlessly manage account settings, commission rules, and billing cycles for all of your brands from a single centralized dashboard.

  • Enhanced Amazon Creator Connections Monitoring: Seamlessly integrate your Amazon Creator Connections campaigns with Wayward to unlock streamlined reporting, dynamic visualizations, and cross-platform auditing—all at no additional cost.

  • Agency Features: Easily manage multiple client accounts separately yet efficiently, all from one unified platform.

  • Early Access to Sponsored Placements: Secure direct partnerships with premium publishers for high-impact sponsored placements and dedicated, tailor-made content.

1. What does this migration mean for my brand?

This migration means that all brands will now be part of Wayward’s unified platform automatically. You will continue using your existing Content Connections login credentials that you currently use with Content Connections—no additional setup is required. Once you log in to Wayward, you’ll simply need to review and accept the new Terms & Conditions, and verify your commission rates.

In addition, you'll gain access to Wayward’s enhanced suite of features, including advanced analytics, an expanded network of top publishers and content creators, refined commission settings, and a unified dashboard to manage your campaigns. During the transition period, you can still access historical billing and performance data via Content Connections, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted experience as you move to the enhanced platform.

2. When is the migration happening?

The target migration day is April 30, 2025. Beginning May 1, 2025, you will access your brand’s account on Wayward, which will include the new features, commission rules, and a modernized dashboard. You’ll continue to have access to Content Connections for historical billing, data, and content identification features through June, 2025.

3. How will I access Wayward? Will my user account and login be affected?

Your existing login credentials will be migrated securely, so you will not need to change your login or password. You will login using the same credentials that you use on Content Connections.

On your first login to Wayward, you’ll be prompted to review and agree to the updated Terms & Conditions.

4. How will billing and invoices be managed?

  • For March and April Sales: Billing continues on Content Connections following the current cycle.

  • From May 2025 Onward: All new transactions, billing, and invoicing will be processed through Wayward. Detailed communications will provide specific dates and cycle details to ensure a smooth transition.

5. How does the Billing process on Wayward differ from Content Connections?

Content Connections (60‑day cycle): You’re billed and auto‑charged roughly 60 days after the end of each month. For example, all sales in February 2025 would appear on your Content Connections invoice sent in early April 2025, with payment processed shortly thereafter.

Wayward (30‑day cycle): You receive an invoice within the first 7 business days of the month for the prior month’s sales. Returns processed during the billing period or within 30 days after invoice date are credited on the next invoice.

  • Example: A sale on April 18, 2025 is invoiced on May 3, 2025. If that item is returned by May 28, 2025, you’ll see a credit on your June 3, 2025 invoice. After 30 days from the invoice date, the sale is final and no further credits apply.

6. What happens to my historical data?

Historical billing records and invoices will remain accessible via the Content Connections platform. A direct link will be provided on your Wayward dashboard so you can review past data as needed. The full migration of historical reporting to Wayward is planned for a later date, with timelines to be announced.

7. Will I still see individual publisher reporting for Content Connections publishers?

At launch, Content Connections publishers will be grouped under the single label “hyphensocial,” so you won’t be able to view or adjust metrics and commissions per publisher. We’re rolling out full, publisher‑level reporting and commission controls in the coming weeks. During the transition period, this information will be available upon request.

8. When will URL level reporting be available?

While URL‑level reporting won’t be available at launch on May 1, it will roll out soon after the migration to ensure you have continuous access. Note that this data granularity will only be available for creators who have opted into the link optimization tool with revenue only being attributed on Attribution data. There are future plans to show click level tracking on ALL systems, including Associates and Creator Connections, giving you visibility into which pages your products are being featured.

9. Will my commission rates and service fees change?

Commission rates and service fees will be aligned with your existing Content Connection’s settings post-migration. Once your account has been migrated, you’ll have the opportunity to review and modify your commission settings on the Wayward platform. The only difference is that you will no longer be able to set commission rates at the brand level, but you can do so in bulk for all products within a brand.

10. What happens to my Amazon integration?

No action is required from you. All Amazon tokens and client credentials will be migrated automatically, ensuring that your Amazon Seller account remains connected and you continue to access all relevant product data.

11. How will overlapping and merged accounts be handled?

Since your brand is currently only on Content Connections, your account will be migrated in full. If there happen to be any overlaps discovered during the process, our team will handle merging accounts with minimal disruption and will notify you if any action is required.

12. Will there be changes in accessing reports and historical data?

While new transactions and reports will appear in Wayward, historical data and dashboards will remain viewable on Content Connections until full migration is completed. We will notify you when historical reporting data consolidates on Wayward.

13. What steps do I need to take during this migration?

Most of the migration work is handled on our end. You will need to:

  • Login to Wayward using your existing Content Connections credentials.

  • Verify your billing and commission settings once the migration is complete.

  • (Optional) Schedule a call with the Wayward team for an overview of the platform, available programs, and more information.

14. Will Wayward have all of the same features as Content Connections?

During the transition period, some features—such as URL-level reports—will continue to be accessible only on Content Connections. However, throughout the transition period, we will launch these features on Wayward to ensure you enjoy uninterrupted access to the tools you rely on.

15. Will the previous Content Connections terms and conditions still apply after migration?

No. Once Content Connections migrates to Wayward, the previous Content Connections terms and conditions will be replaced by Wayward's terms and conditions. You can review Wayward’s updated terms here.

16. Who can I contact for support?

Our dedicated support team is available to assist you throughout this process. Please email brands@wayward.com with any questions or concerns or feel free to book a call with the Wayward team here.
