General

How much does Wayward cost?

You can see all costs associated with the program on our pricing page: https://www.wayward.com/amazon/pricing. For Amazon purchases, we charge a SaaS fee and take a usage fee on each transaction.

What is a 'Amazon Direct' product?

'Amazon Direct' products are Amazon affiliate products with increased Amazon commissions as specified by the brand.

How can I increase sales?

Creators are incentivized by increased commission rate, so you can always make your products more attractive by increasing your commission rate. Furthermore, if there are specific creators who you would like to work with but are not on our platform, let us know at brands@wayward.com. Our dedicated creator recruitment team will help you find and then onboard these creators so that they can start promoting your products immediately.

How can I track my sales?

You can track clicks, add to carts, conversions, etc through the 'Data' tab in the Wayward Portal. You can also see all Amazon Attribution sales through the Amazon Attribution tab in the Amazon Ads Console. We understand that understanding performance is critical, so if you want to be notified with progress through email or desire custom reporting, reach out to brands@wayward.com and we will help facilitate.

Is there onboarding support?

If you are having any onboarding issues, please reach out to brands@wayward.com or book a call to talk with one of our specialized brand support representatives today.

Working with Creators

Does Wayward validate creators?

Yes! We evaluate every creator who signs up on our platform and only approve the very best. We look at engagement metrics, authenticity, and expertise as our core criteria.

Can I have custom contract terms with the creators that I work with?

Yes, you can set a custom commission rate for certain creators or publishers that goes above your default commission rate - we see brands doing this to incentivize creators to promote their products and highly encourage you to do so for top creators.

Am I required to send product samples to creators?

You are not required to send product samples to creators. If you would like to make it easier for them to be authentic in their product recommendations, you are welcome to offer samples. If you need help facilitating sending samples to creators, reach out to brands@wayward.com.

Can I pick the creators that I work with?

Yes, definitely. Wayward has a high bar for creators and work to ensure that only quality creators join our platform, so by default, your products are eligible for all creators. However, you can opt-to go invite-only. This way products can view your products, apply to promote those products, and you can explicitly approve or deny any creators at the brand level.

Product Selection

Can I pick the products available to this program?

Yes, of course. We encourage you to include more products to drive more sales for your brand, but ultimately it is your decision on what products are eligible for the program.

Can I pick the commission rate at a per-product level?

Yes, definitely. By default we will assume a consistent commission rate across your portfolio. However, we understand that each product is unique with different margins. You can specify commission rate per-product. You will only pay commission fees on the products that you identify as being eligible for a commission.

Amazon

Amazon Brand Referral Bonus (BRB)

What is the Amazon Brand Referral Bonus?

Brand Referral Bonus is an Amazon program that rewards Ad Campaigns that bring external traffic onto Amazon with a 10% seller-fee kickback on average. If, as a brand, you are enrolled in Amazon’s Brand Registry and an Amazon Seller (not Vendor), then you are eligible for the brand referral bonus. Payments

When will I get invoiced?

We use Stripe to conduct all billing and you have 30 days to pay once invoiced. You will get invoiced up to 7 business after the end of the previous month for all sales from the previous month plus your SaaS fee for the previous month. There is a 14-day attribution window for Attribution conversions, so any that trickle in after 48 hours will be invoiced as part of the following month (usually a very small amount).

Can I set up auto-pay?

If you want to set up auto-pay, you can do so through Stripe in the Billing tab. Feel free to reach out brands@wayward.com if you ahve any questions.

How do you handle returns or other payment corrections?

You will be credited for any returns that happen during a payment period or within 30 days after an invoice is sent to you. For example, if a product is purchased on 4/18/24 and you are invoiced for that purchase on 5/3/24, then that product is returned on 5/28/24. You will be credited back for that return on your invoice sent 6/3/24. After 30 days of when you are invoiced for a sale, that sale is considered final, and you will not be credited for a return.

What should I expect to see in my invoice?

You would expect to see the following line items:

  • Charge for SaaS fee for previous month

  • Charge for commissions and usage fees for previous month

  • Charge for any remaining commissions from 2 months prior

  • Credited for any returns from previous month

  • Credited for any remaining returns from 2 months prior

Am I responsible for all sales for my brand?

Yes, we are unable to differentiate between sales from a reseller vs you as the brand. So you will be charged for any conversions that come from your associated link. This means you may be charged even when you did not win the buy box.

Where can I see my invoices?

You can find all Invoices through the Amazon -> Billing tab. This will redirect you to your Stripe account where you can see invoices, edit payment methods, and download receipts.

Settings

What if I have multiple brands under one Amazon seller account?

When you give us Amazon Ads access, you do so at the Amazon Seller level, so we will automatically have visibility to all brands that fall within that seller account. You can control which brands are 'active' vs 'inactive' to determine which will be eligible for creators and publishers.

Why am I not seeing sales immediately?

We rely on Amazon Attribution to track all sales. Amazon attribution by default has a 24 hour delay, does not report any traffic until after the first 10 clicks, and does not track sales until after the first sale. For any of these reasons, you may see a delay in reporting when checking through Amazon Attribution.
