What is a lift pass?

Do I need to get one for my holiday

Written by NUCO Travel

Your lift pass is your key to exploring the mountain, as it gives you access to cable cars, chairlifts, drag lifts and gondolas.

In almost all cases, a local area lift pass will already be included in your package base price, this will be detailed at the time of booking. Some resorts offer an extended area lift pass which can be selected on your booking in additional extras.

For those on their first ski holiday, the local area should have plenty of slopes to keep you busy, but for those looking to explore further afield, we would recommend upgrading your lift pass in advance as this is cheaper than upgrading in resort.

Lost lift passes can be expensive to replace, so it's important to keep it safe. Some resorts will offer a discount on a replacement lift pass with a photo of the serial number as well as any receipts that were issued alongside the pass, so remember to keep them just in case you lose your lift pass.
