What to take and what not to take - that is the question

If you're unsure what to pack and don't know where to start - don't worry - we've got you covered.

Whether it's your first time or you are a seasoned veteran keep reading for a handy list of things to pack to ensure you don't forget those all-important ski trip essentials.

Hand luggage:

  • Passport

  • Travel documents

  • Insurance documents

  • GHIC card

  • Euros for those who still like to carry cash

  • Wallet with relevant bank cards

  • Snacks for the journey

  • Phone and phone charger

  • Charge bar

  • Travel pillow if you like to sleep on your coach/ flight or airport transfer

  • Entertainment for your journey

Ski Gear

  • Ski jacket - to wear skiing and if you go out in the evening

  • Ski trousers (salopettes/ski pants)

  • Several pairs of ski socks

  • Ski gloves

  • Hat, gloves, and neck warmer/ balaclava

  • Extra layers for skiing if you get cold easily, such as long sleeve t-shirts or jumpers/ hoodies

  • Thermal trousers/ leggings and top for underneath your waterproof ski clothes

  • Goggles - normally you cannot rent these in resort, so we recommend you buy in advance to avoid the high prices in resort and why we have partnered with SunGod and offer discounts through your booking

  • Sunglasses - when you stop for breaks and are not wearing your goggles

  • Helmet - you can hire these in most ski shops in resort if you don't have your own

  • Ski or snowboard bag (with wheels are easier) and boots bag if you are taking your own equipment

  • (Skis/ Board/ Boots/ Poles if you are not renting)

Basics

  • Jeans or trousers for when you aren't skiing

  • Tops and jumpers for when you aren't skiing

  • A pair of comfortable walking/outdoor shoes

  • Slippers/sandals/ flip flops are useful if you are staying in a chalet

  • Underwear and socks

  • Sleepwear

  • Hat, gloves, and extra jumper for the evenings.

  • Travel adaptors

  • Travel speakers

  • GoPro or camera

  • A small backpack for taking up the mountain - useful for carrying emergency supplies including, sun cream, sunglasses, water, hip flask, and any desired snacks.

  • Fancy dress.

Toiletries

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste

  • Hairbrush, hair ties, etc

  • Deodorant

  • Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash

  • Hair products

  • Shaving kit

  • Wipes

  • Face wash

  • Hand sanitiser

  • Sun cream and lip block are essential. The sun is very strong in the mountains as it bounces off the snow so a high factor is recommended

  • Small first aid kit - you may need treatment for aching muscles, bruises, and blisters

  • Prescription medication
