Our SS&C Black Diamond Wealth Solutions integration provides advisors with a current and comprehensive view of client assets to inform estate planning and enable quick updates to plans as client finances evolve.
In this article, we’ll show you how you can leverage the SS&C Black Diamond Wealth Solutions integration for improved visibility into your estate planning activity, what data gets pulled, and how to set up your integration.
How You Can Use This Integration

Maintaining Control Over Synced Data
While the integration offers seamless automated syncing, advisors still have full control to make adjustments when needed. They can manually update asset names and types directly in Wealth.com, ensuring client data stays accurate and tailored. If an asset no longer needs to sync, advisors can unlink it easily, and if they wish to resume automatic updates, they can quickly relink the asset. This flexibility ensures that advisors get the best of both worlds—automation where it’s needed and manual control when it matters most.

The SS&C Black Diamond Wealth Solutions integration uses OAuth2, a trusted authorization method commonly used by financial institutions, to ensure secure access without exposing user credentials. Data is also encrypted during transfer (TLS 1.2), keeping client information safe as it moves between Black Diamond and Wealth.com.

Maintaining Control Over Synced Data
The data sync from Black Diamond to Wealth.com will occur on a nightly basis to ensure the data in Wealth.com is kept up-to-date.
If a synced record is created in Black Diamond, a corresponding record will be created in Wealth.
If a synced record is updated in Black Diamond, the corresponding record will be updated in Wealth.
If a synced record is deleted in Black Diamond, a message will be displayed on the corresponding Wealth record indicating that the source record has been deleted and that it is safe to delete in Wealth.
If a field on a synced record in Wealth has been manually edited by an advisor, that edit will be preserved. The nightly sync will not overwrite the manual change unless the corresponding field in Black Diamond has also changed since the last successful sync.
Advisors can unlink an asset from the Black Diamond sync if they wish to manage it manually within Wealth.com. They will also have the ability to relink it.
