As an advisor, Wealth.com gives you total control over how and when you onboard your clients. You can build profiles manually, import them directly from your existing tech stack, set custom completion deadlines, and track your clients' progress every step of the way.
Part 1: How to Create a Client Profile (3 Methods)
Method 1: Create a Profile and Invite Immediately
Use this method when you are ready for the client to log in right away and begin building their estate plan.
Log in to your advisor dashboard and click Add Client.
Complete the required and optional fields:
Your Team Name (Required)
Client’s First and Last Name (Required)
Client’s Email Address (Required)
State of Residence (Required)
Client’s Family Name (Optional)
Ensure the Invite to Wealth.com checkbox is checked.
(Optional) Set a custom completion deadline at the bottom of the invite modal (see Setting Deadlines below).
Click Create Client.
💡 What happens next: The client will immediately receive an automated email invitation to join Wealth.com and begin their estate planning process.
Method 2: Create a Profile and Invite Later
Use this method if you prefer to do pre-work before inviting your client to create an account, or if you plan to keep this profile advisor-managed only.
Log in to your advisor dashboard and click Add Client.
Complete the fields:
Your Team Name (Required)
Client’s First and Last Name (Required)
Marital Status (Required)
Client’s Email Address (Optional)
Client’s Family Name (Optional)
Uncheck the Invite to Wealth.com checkbox.
Click Create Client to save the profile without triggering an invitation.
💡 How to invite them later: When you are ready to onboard the client, locate their profile on your dashboard, click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to their name, and select Invite Client. This will trigger their invitation email.
Method 3: Import a Profile via an Integration
If you use platforms like eMoney, Black Diamond, or Orion, you can sync your accounts to import client profiles seamlessly. Once imported, these profiles function exactly like manually created ones.
Select the dropdown next to the Add Client button on your Dashboard.
Select Add from Integration
Select the platform you would like to pull your client list from.
Enter your login credentials for that platform in the pop-up window and complete any required security authorization steps (e.g., email verification or security questions).
Once successful, the status will update to Connected.
Select clients to import.
Part 2: Customizing the Client Profile & Pre-Work
Optional Pre-Work
To create a seamless, white-glove onboarding experience, you can populate information in the client's profile before they accept their invitation:
Add contacts for family members or beneficiaries.
Add known assets to their profile.
Upload relevant documents to the client’s secure Vault for them to access when they create their account.
Setting Deadlines
To keep clients on track, you can assign a custom deadline for them to finish their estate planning documents:
At the bottom of the client invite modal, check the box for Add a deadline to create their documents.
Select a target date from the calendar picker and click Continue.
Extending or Updating Deadlines
Document Creation Deadlines are editable straight from your main client dashboard table. Below are the steps on how to update the deadlines
1) Find the client's row within your dashboard
2) Click the date in the Document Creation Deadline column
If you don't see the column, check your column-visibility settings on the dashboard first, it can be hidden. If the date is greyed out, that's because your client has already started a document.
3) Input the new date and select Apply
