Customizing the Balance Sheet View

The enhanced Balance Sheet provides users with full control over how data is displayed, from global formatting to granular row and column visibility.

Global Settings

Users can access general formatting options at the top of the Balance Sheet:

  • As-Of Date: Change the reporting date for the entire balance sheet.

  • Text Size: Adjust the font size for on-screen viewing (note: this setting does persist in the downloaded report).

  • Rounding: Choose to round values to hundreds, thousands, millions, or billions.

Note: If you notice discrepancies between the Balance Sheet and an individual Asset Card, check your rounding settings, as the Asset Card often shows the raw underlying value.

  • Hide/Show Cards: Toggle the visibility of top-level summary cards to expand the table view.

Customizing Rows

The Data Configuration Modal allows for deep customization of row data:

  • Organization Type: Toggle the view between Major Asset Class or Account Type.

  • Entity Display: Choose how entities are shown:

    • Row Groups: Displays entities as distinct sections with their underlying assets nested inside.

    • Within Assets: Removes the entity row group and places the entity-owned assets directly within their respective asset categories (e.g., a property owned by an LLC appears under "Other Property").

  • Visibility & Reordering: Use the Visibility (Eye) Icon to hide entire row groups, specific categories, or individual assets. You can also drag and drop items to reorder them within the modal.

Custom Row Groups

Users can create bespoke groupings of assets:

  1. Click Create Custom Row Group.

  2. Add items to the group.

Constraint: An asset can only exist in one row group at a time. To add an asset to a custom group, you must first remove it from its original group.

  3. Custom groups can be renamed, hidden, or "disbanded" to return assets to the general pool.
