The Wealth.com connector gives Claude secure access to your clients' estate and tax information through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI tools to external data and services.
What is the Wealth.com connector?
The Wealth.com connector exposes parts of the Wealth.com platform (client records, estate documents, balance sheets, and filed tax returns) as tools Claude can call. Today, Wealth.com supports Anthropic's Claude.
Access follows your existing Wealth.com licenses. An estate license unlocks the estate tools; a tax license unlocks the tax tools. You only ever see clients and data you can already see when you log in to Wealth.com.
What can you do with the Wealth.com connector?
Get up to speed on a client
Pull a client's profile, family and key people, and the documents on file before a meeting.
Understand an estate plan
Ask about a household's estate across every document on file, or go deep on a single document with an executive summary and a disposition diagram.
Review a balance sheet
Look at ownership, concentration, and beneficiary designations.
Work with a tax return
Get an executive summary of a filed return, review insights and gaps schedule by schedule, or model a scenario against real calculations.
Add a document
Upload an estate document for analysis without leaving the conversation.
Wealth.com's connector allows you to connect Wealth.com to third-party AI assistants. Any data sent to or processed by those third-party services is subject to your agreements with those providers. Wealth.com is not responsible for how third-party services handle data once it leaves Wealth.com's systems.
Connector and plugin: what's the difference?
There are two separate things to set up, and the order matters.
The Wealth.com connector is the connection itself. It gives Claude access to the individual tools (look up a client, read a document, pull a return).
The Wealth.com plugin is a set of guided workflows, called skills, built on top of those tools. It's installed separately, after the connector. It's optional, but we highly recommend it: without the plugin, Claude has to work out which tools to call and in what order, so results might vary from one question to the next.
Connect first, then install the plugin. A plugin installed without the connector will not work.
Setup guides
Prerequisites
An active Wealth.com account with the relevant license — estate, tax, or both.
Your firm must have enabled the Wealth.com connector. If it hasn't, talk to your company admin or IT/Security team.
Your firm must permit the use of Claude. Some firms restrict AI assistants at the organization level.

Available skills
Skills come with the Wealth.com plugin. Each one is a guided workflow that calls the right tools in the right order.
Skill | Description | Example prompt |
Estate — requires an estate license |
|
|
wealth-estate-client-brief | Orientation on a client — who they are and what's on file. | "I've got a call with the Brady family in ten minutes. Walk me through what we've got." |
wealth-estate-document-deep-dive | One named document in depth — its summary, its disposition diagram, flagged observations. | "Walk me through their revocable trust." / "Any risks with this trust?" |
wealth-estate-document-intake | Add a document to a client's file and have it read. | "Here's the will they just sent — can you add it?" |
wealth-balance-sheet-review | What a household owns, who owns it as recorded, concentration, beneficiary designations. | "What do the Bradys own?" "Where are they concentrated?" |
Tax — requires a tax license |
|
|
wealth-tax-executive-summary | A descriptive read of a client's already-filed tax return. | "Summarize the Bradys' 2025 return." "What's their tax situation?" |
wealth-tax-scenarios | Model a tax position for a year they haven't filed yet. | "What would they owe if John converts $200k to a Roth?" / "Show me 2026 for the Smiths." |
wealth-tax-insights | Gaps and opportunities from a filed return — missed deductions, figures that don't tie out, thresholds they sit near, each with the mechanism behind it. | "Anything worth raising with the Bradys before their review?" "What did we miss on their 2025 return?" |
If you've connected but haven't installed the plugin, you can still ask questions in plain language — Claude will call the underlying tools directly. Results are less consistent without the skills to guide it.
Troubleshooting
Your firm has not enabled the Wealth.com connector
The connector is enabled at the firm level. Contact your company admin or your Account Manager, or visit wealth.com/claude to request help.
You do not have permission to use this tool
Your Wealth.com account lacks the license the tool requires. Tax tools require a tax license; estate tools require an estate license. Contact your company admin to check your entitlements.
Claude can't find a client
Confirm the client exists in Wealth.com and that you have access to them there. The connector can only reach clients you can already see when you log in.
Authentication fails or the connection is rejected
Verify your Wealth.com account is active. Try re-authenticating by removing and re-adding the connector in your client.
Tools not appearing in my MCP client
Check that your client supports Streamable HTTP transport. Re-authenticate if the connection was previously established. If tools appear but results are inconsistent, check whether the Wealth.com plugin is installed.
"I can't generate a diagram for this document"
Disposition diagrams are generated for certain document types only. Rather than draw something we can't stand behind, the connector declines. You may still see a diagram for that document inside Wealth.com.
"This appears to be several documents in one file"
A combined PDF was detected. We won't split it without your confirmation, because an incorrect split produces incorrect output for every document inside it.
FAQ
Can multiple users at my firm connect to the same connector?
Yes. Each user authenticates individually through the browser OAuth flow. The connector resolves each request to the authenticated user and enforces that user's own permissions and licenses.
What data does the connector have access to?
Only data the authenticated user can already view in Wealth.com. Client queries are scoped to the clients you can access, and tool availability is limited by the licenses on your account.
Does this cost extra?
No. Access maps to your existing Wealth.com licenses at no additional charge.
What happens to a document I upload through Claude?
The file goes directly to Wealth.com. Only metadata passes through the connector call; the file itself uploads straight to Wealth.com's systems, where it is scanned and stored.
Is my client data used to train AI models?
Wealth.com does not use your client data to train any AI model. Data that passes to a third-party assistant is governed by your firm's own agreement with that provider.
Does the connector work with other AI assistants?
Only Claude as of right now. We are actively working on connectors for other popular AI assistants.
