Is the Advance Health Care Directive HIPAA Compliant?
Yes, we incorporate HIPAA Authorization (otherwise known as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) into most of our Advance Health Care Directives on the Wealth platform.
Our approach includes the relevant language directly in the Advance Health Care Directive itself. This option keeps the language right within the document that will be needed in the event of a medical emergency and reduces the risk of lost additional forms or missed additional signatures when the authorization is needed most. Wealth.com documents take this approach.
The other approach is through a separate stand-alone document that addresses only this specific information release. We do not provide a stand-alone HIPAA authorization form (such as a blank template) to fill out on the platform. You can refer to your Healthcare provider if you need to create one for any reason.

Does wealth.com offer health waivers?
Our platform currently doesn’t offer the option to create standalone documents like healthcare waivers. We recommend contacting your healthcare provider to obtain the necessary documentation. Once you acquire this, you may elect to securely upload the document to the vault for safekeeping if you wish. Your vault can be used to store documents created outside of the platform.
