User Defined Settings allow you to set personal preferences for several Web Control features.
To access User Defined Settings:
Click the Settings link.
2. From the User Settings section, click User Defined Settings.
Email Editor - allows you to have the email editor to appear in HTML Mail or Plaintext Mail (HTML is the default). If switched to Plaintext, your email editor will not allow for images, special fonts or hyperlinks. Changing and clicking Accept to the right would save your default email editor.
Audible Email Alert - This is On by default. Audible Email Alert would generate a ding sound on your computer whenever you receive a new email into Web Control. For Manager Users, this would generate the ding sound whenever any user in your account receives an email. Changing to Off then clicking Accept to the right would turn off the ding sound.
New Prospects/Email Alert - generates a red envelope icon to the top of every Web Control screen when you receive a new lead, email response, or personal email. This is On by default. Turning this Off then clicking Accept to the right would only generate the red envelope icon to the top of every screen when you get a new personal email.
Audible SMS Alert - Applicable only if your dealership has SMS Texting Program. This if Off by default. Audible SMS Alert would generate a ding sound on your computer whenever you receive a new text in Web Control AFTER you have closed the prospect's SMS History window. Changing to On then clicking Accept to the right would activate the notification.
New Message Alert - Applicable only if your dealership has SMS Texting Program. This if Off by default. This would generate a dialogue icon to the top of Web Control whenever you receive a new text in Web Control AFTER you have closed the prospect's SMS History window. Changing to On and clicking Accept activates the notification.
Pin View Setting - allows you to change the location of your pins. By default, this is set to Right Side, generating the pin area to the right of every screen within Web Control. Changing to Tab and clicking Accept will create a Pins tab to the top of Web Control.
Spell Check Enabled/Disabled as Default true - this is Disabled by default. Enabling would turn on spell check in composition screens automatically. Changing to Enabled and clicking Accept activates Spell Check automatically in all composition screens.
Themes - Four color schemes can be picked from as your background for Web Control. Select the desired them and then click Apply Theme.
Organizer/Workplan - Allows you to change your view of the Organizer to a Workplan view. The Workplan view is a printer-friendly view of the scheduled actions for the day. Organizer is the default. Changing as desired and clicking Accept to the right allows you to change your Organizer view.
Read Receipt Settings - This is off by default. With this off, users would need to check the Read Receipt box when emailing to get a read receipt confirmation when emails sent have been opened. Changing the drop down to On then clicking Update will have the Read Receipt box checked by default when emailing.
Note: User Defined Settings is login specific. Manager Users cannot change the User Defined Settings for any other user in the account.
