Change the terminology fit your needs and proces

Would you like to call your Organzations something else? Maybe Customers or Companies?

In webCRM you can change the terminology in order to make it fit your needs and processes. This enables you to use the everyday language which your Users are familiar with and therefore makes it easier to navigate around the system.

You change the terminology by going to Configuration → Main Settings → Terminology.

First you must mark the languages you wish to edit, which ideally would be all the languages that are used in your system. Click "Show texts for selected languages", edit as required and click "Save".

The system dictates which terminology you can change and willl replace the standard names with your chosen ones throughout the system.

Examples of alternative terminology in webCRM:

Organization = Company, Customer, Client

Type = Account Type, Company Type

Industry = Sector, Segment, Category

Person = Contact, Advocate

Activity = Tasks, Actions

Opportunities = Proposals, Projects, Sales

Territories = Office, Segment, Region, ZIP Code

Meetings = Appointments, Visits

Products = Training, Events, Invoices, Subscriptions
