Token Delisting

Webot regularly reviews all listed assets to maintain a high-standard trading environment. When a token no longer meets our criteria, a delisting process is initiated. This article outlines the key considerations and procedures for managing or securing your assets during a delisting transition.

Why are Tokens Delisted?

At Webot, we conduct in-depth reviews to ensure every asset on our platform aligns with the evolving industry standards. A decision to delist a token is typically driven by a combination of the following factors:

  • Project Commitment & Development: A significant decline in the team's commitment or the quality of active development on the project.

  • Market Liquidity & Volume: Insufficient trading activity or low liquidity, which can lead to abnormal price volatility and poor execution for users.

  • Network & Smart Contract Stability: Evidence of network instability, susceptibility to attacks, or critical vulnerabilities within the token's smart contract.

  • Ethical Conduct & Compliance: Any evidence of unethical behavior, fraudulent activity, or negligence by the project team, as well as changes in regulatory requirements.

  • Public Communication: A lack of transparency or failure to provide timely updates to the community and the exchange.

How do I confirm whether a token or trading pair has been delisted?

If you notice that a token or trading pair has disappeared from your account or from the trading interface, it is possible that it has been delisted from the platform.

To confirm, check the Webot Announcement page for any related delisting announcement.

How will Webot notify you before a delisting?

Under normal circumstances, prior to delisting Webot will:

  • Publish an official announcement in advance

  • Send a mobile push notification

  • Display an upcoming delisting notice on the trading page for the affected trading pairs

The announcement will specify the affected tokens and trading pairs, the delisting date and time, a reminder to cancel open orders and close bot orders promptly, and the follow-up handling procedures after delisting.

What Happens to My Assets After Delisting?

1. Order Cancellation & Bot Handling

Manual & Bot Orders: All active manual orders and trading bot strategies (such as Grid Trading) for the affected pairs will be automatically canceled.

Rebalancing Bots: For assets within a Rebalancing Bot, the bot itself will not be canceled. Instead, the specific positions of the delisted tokens will be released from the bot and moved to your holding account.

Asset Conversion: For certain delisted assets, Webot will facilitate an automated conversion process. These holdings will be exchanged for USDT and credited to your account.

Note: To avoid potential losses from price fluctuations during the liquidation process, we strongly recommend manually closing your bots or selling your holdings before the trading cessation.

2. How the Conversion Price is Determined

To protect user interests, Webot sells the delisted tokens in batches on the open market during the conversion period. The final conversion price you receive is calculated based on the average price at which the platform sold the tokens — not a single fixed rate, and not the price at the moment of delisting.

This is why the amount of USDT you receive may differ from the value of your holdings before the delisting was announced.

3. Withdrawal Channel

If the delisted token supports withdrawals, Webot will keep the withdrawal channel open for a period of time after delisting, allowing you to transfer the tokens to another platform. Please refer to the specific delisting notice for the exact dates regarding when deposits are suspended and when the withdrawal channel closes.

If you have not withdrawn your tokens by the end of the withdrawal period, they will be automatically converted to USDT in accordance with the rules described above.

Note: We strongly recommend completing all withdrawals well before the deadline to avoid any potential loss of funds due to network or technical decommission.

4. Token Restructuring by the Project Team

If the token's project team undergoes a restructuring — including but not limited to merging multiple tokens, renaming a token, or relisting under a new name — Webot will delist the old token first, then relist it under the new token's name. Your existing tokens will be automatically converted to the new token at the applicable exchange ratio. Once the new token is listed, you are free to trade it on the platform.

5. Asset Visibility

After the trading pairs are removed, the delisted assets will no longer be visible in the standard trading interface. However, you can still view your remaining balances in your "Account" overview until the automated token conversion to USDT is completed. Once the conversion is finalized, the delisted token balance will be replaced by the equivalent amount of USDT in your account.

FAQ

Q: How do I check whether my tokens have already been converted?

A: You can review your conversion record in your account history. If the conversion has not yet appeared, the token balance will still be visible in your "Account" overview until the process completes.

Q: If I fail to withdraw my assets before the withdrawal deadline, does it mean I have lost them forever?

A: Not necessarily. Webot may be able to assist you by facilitating a conversion to USDT or temporarily reopening a withdrawal channel for your account. Please contact Webot Support as soon as possible to confirm the specific recovery options available for your holdings.

Q: Why am I unable to withdraw a token that has not yet been fully delisted?

A: Not all cryptocurrencies support external deposit and withdrawal services. If an asset is not available in the withdrawal list, it indicates that the token itself does not support transfer functions on our platform. In such cases, please wait for the automated token conversion to USDT to be completed.

Q: When will I receive the USDT after the token is delisted and converted?

A: After an asset is delisted, Webot will sell the tokens on the open market and distribute the resulting USDT. Because this process involves technical resources and market execution, we are unable to provide an exact arrival time. We appreciate your patience during this period.

Q: Why does the amount of USDT I received differ from the previous value of my tokens?

A: The conversion price is the average price at which the platform sold the tokens in batches on the open market, and the crypto market is inherently volatile. We cannot guarantee that the execution price at the time of conversion will match the price prior to delisting. If you are concerned about potential price fluctuations or losses, we strongly recommend that you manually sell your holdings as early as possible before the official delisting date.

Q: Why do some trading pairs for a delisted token still remain active?

A: In certain cases, Webot may only delist specific trading pairs rather than removing the entire asset from the platform. Please refer strictly to the official delisting announcement to confirm which specific pairs are being discontinued.

Risk Warning

Trading in the crypto market carries a substantial risk and the possibility of making both significant profits and losses. Please trade cautiously. Though Webot will make its best efforts to choose high-quality assets, Webot could not assure any profit and will not be responsible for your trading loss.

Please get in touch with Webot Support if you have any other questions.
