FAQ

1. What’s the difference between an institutional account and a personal account?

Functionality and trading experience are identical. The difference lies in KYC: institutional users must provide company registration documents and corporate representative ID, while personal users submit individual identification only. Once verified, both account types have full access to Webot's trading features.

2. Can institutional accounts use fiat deposit and withdrawal services?

Yes. Webot supports fiat on/off ramps for institutional accounts, including Debit card, wire transfer, and ACH bank transfer channels. Transaction fees may vary—please refer to the relevant product pages for details.

3. How is the verification of supported states determined?

Verification is based on the company’s registered address and the state specified on the business license. The system auto-detects whether your state is supported based on these official documents. If your company has branches in multiple regions, the primary state of registration applies.

4. Are there additional fees for institutional registration?

No. Institutional account registration is completely free—no sign-up or annual fees. Once registered, you’ll have access to all trading services. Standard trading fees apply and are charged as per the platform’s fee schedule; see the official website’s latest announcements for specifics.

5. Which regions are supported for institutional registration?

Webot accepts institutional accounts from the whole U.S., except for jurisdictions restricted by local regulations. If your institution is located in a restricted region, the registration automatically fails. See the detailed list of restricted states/territories in the following link: https://intercom.help/webot/en/articles/14119735
