WeCP allows test-setters to choose from a diverse set of question types and topics while creating a test. Apart from conventional question types such as Coding, Multiple-choice, Subjective, etc, WeCP offers some niche question types like Projects, Data Science, DevOps, Machine Learning, etc to assess your candidates in the best way possible.

This article provides an overview of the different Question types supported by WeCP.

Note: WeCP supports 12 different question types to evaluate approximately 800 unique technical skills.

Question Type

Overview

These questions require candidates to write code using Logic, Maths, Data Structures, Algorithms. The questions evaluate the candidate's problem-solving skills on the scale of easy to complex levels.

Candidates can code in any of the high-level programming languages supported by WeCP. WeCP provides an in-browser coding IDE and compiler to candidates. The solution gets evaluated for correctness and quality using hidden test cases.

These questions check the candidate's expertise in a particular programming language like Java, Python, Javascript, C/C++, GoLang, Kotlin, etc.

Candidates can code only in the programming language that the question belongs to. WeCP provides an in-browser coding IDE and compiler to candidates. The solution gets evaluated for correctness and quality using hidden test cases.

These questions require candidates to develop mini web applications using frameworks like MEAN/MERN, ASP.NET, Java Spring, Django/Flask, Selenium, Html/CSS, NodeJS, Ruby On Rails, etc.

WeCP provides an in-browser development IDE to candidates. The project gets evaluated by WeCP App Judge for correctness and quality using test-cases and tester recipes.

These questions require candidates to perform realtime tasks in cloud technologies like Linux, Windows, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, etc.

For every such question, WeCP opens an in-browser virtual machine for candidates. Candidates follow question instructions to complete the tasks and the WeCP automatically evaluates the completion of those tasks by candidates.

These questions require candidates to perform data science tasks using tools like Python, R, SKLearn, NumPy, Pandas, etc

For every such question WeCP provides in-browser coding IDE and datasets to candidates. Candidates follow question instructions to complete the data science tasks and the WeCP automatically evaluates the completion of those tasks by candidates.

These questions require candidates to apply machine learning techniques on large training and testing datasets and develop a Machine learning model to perform accurate predictions.

For every such question, WeCP provides train and test datasets to candidates. Candidates follow question instructions to develop the model and upload the final predictions. WeCP automatically evaluates the accuracy of such models using statistical techniques like F1-score, RMSE, Accuracy Score, ROC/AUC Curve etc

These questions require candidates to write database queries on SQL, MySQL, SQLite, etc.

For every such question, WeCP provides in-browser coding IDE and database schema to candidates. Candidates follow question instructions to execute the queries and WeCP automatically evaluates the correctness of the queries.

These questions ask candidates to choose one correct answer from a given list of options. WeCP allows test setters to impose negative marking in which encourages candidates to not indulge in guessing answers.

These questions ask candidates to choose one or more correct answers from a given list of options. WeCP allows test setters to impose negative marking in which encourages candidates to not indulge in guessing answers.

Note: WeCP currently doesn't support partial scoring for these questions.

These questions require a subjective answer from candidates. WeCP provides an answer box, save button for candidates to record their answers.

WeCP allows test setters to restrict the upper limit on the number of words to be present in the answer. During the evaluation of these questions by external graders, the candidate's identity is kept anonymous.

These questions require candidates to upload their solution/answer/work sample asked in the question as an attachment.

WeCP allows test setters to be able to manually score and put a remark again each submission. In case there are external evaluators, the candidate's identity is kept anonymous.

These questions provide candidates with a problem statement, code snippets that contain multiple blanks. Candidates are expected to complete the blanks and submit their code.

For every such question, WeCP provides in-browser coding IDE and automatically evaluates the correctness of the written code.
