Installing and Authorising the Weighsoft Mobile App

This article outlines the process of installing the mobile app on an android tablet

Important: The mobile app is available on Android devices only and will not work on Apple devices

Step 1: Check Database Configuration

  1. Hover over Administration.

  2. Click on Mobile Devices.

  3. Click Add a New Device.

  4. Click Next to begin the authorisation process.

  5. Scan the QR code displayed on the screen.

Note: If no file is available to download after scanning the QR code, your database is not configured for the app.
Please contact your Account Manager to get this set up


Step 2: Download and Install the App

  1. After scanning the QR code, select the file to download.

  2. Open the file on your device to begin the app installation.


Step 3: Authorise the Device in Weighsoft

  1. Back in Weighsoft, click Next.

  2. Complete the device information:

Description

Device Identifier

Enter the DROID-ID shown on the device screen when the app is first launched.

Asset Number

Assign a name for the device in your database.

  1. Click Next.

If the Device Identifier is entered correctly, you will see a series of green ticks on the screen. The device will then begin downloading the required databases.

This process may take some time depending on the size of your data.
