Overview

A credit limit can be set against an account either within Weighsoft itself, or pulled through from your account package, depending on your setup.

Controlling Setting

The credit limit being set internal or externally is controlled by a setting.

  1. Hover on Administration

  2. Click on Settings

  3. Click on Finance

  4. Click on Credit Control

  5. Locate the option labelled "Credit Limit External"

  • If the option is enabled the the credit limit is pulled in from your accounts package

  • If the option is disable then the credit limit can be set against each account within Weighsoft

Setting the Credit Limit in your Accounts Package

If the above setting is enabled then the credit limit is pulled into Weighsoft from your accounts package as part of the regular account sync.

By default an account sync is processed every 20 minutes.

The process for setting the limit differs in each accounts package - for more information we suggest you confer with your own accounts team.

Setting the Credit Limit within Weighsoft

If the above setting is disabled then you can set and amend the credit limit directly against each account in Weighsoft

Note: There is no way to set or amend the credit limit en masse

  1. Navigate to the account in question

  2. Click Modify in the top-right corner

  3. Click on the Invoice tab

  4. Scroll down and locate the Credit Limit field

  5. Amend the figure as required

  6. Click on Save at the top of the screen

Additional Setting

Weighsoft contains several checks based on an accounts Credit Limit (for example to prevent job creation or putting the account On Stop).

if you wish an account to bypass these checks then follow the below steps:

  1. Navigate to the account in question

  2. Click Modify in the top-right corner

  3. Click on the Invoice tab

  4. Locate the setting labelled "Bypass Credit Limit Checks" option

If this option is enabled then the account will not subject to any options related to the credit limit.
