Frequently Asked Questions on Crypto QR Pay

Wello Introduces QR Pay for Trust Wallet Users

Updated today

1. What is crypto QR Pay and how does it work?

Wello is partnering with Trust Wallet to bring crypto QR payments to you.

Crypto QR Pay lets you make on-chain payments by scanning a QR code at any supported merchant, such as restaurants, cafés, shops, or service providers.

When you scan a merchant’s QR code, you can pay directly using your Trust Wallet balance. Just scan, confirm the amount, and your crypto payment is processed instantly on-chain—no banks needed.

In Vietnam, this works seamlessly with VietQR, the national QR standard. VietQR follows global EMVCo standards and the guidelines set by the State Bank of Vietnam. It’s the same QR that users already scan through bank apps, Momo, ZaloPay, and more.

2. What countries are supported?

Currently, QR Pay is available only in Vietnam. More regions will be added soon.

3. How do I access the QR scanner?

Open your Trust Wallet app. The QR scanner is typically found on the main screen or via a 'Scan' or 'Pay' button.

4. What can I pay with using QR Pay?

In the initial phase:

  • Supported tokens: USDT

  • Supported network: BNB Smart Chain (BSC)

Other stablecoins and networks will be added soon.

5. What can I pay with using QR Pay?

No. QR Pay works directly from your Trust Wallet balance, and no KYC is required to make crypto payments.

6. What are the transaction limits?

Transaction limits may vary by region and over time. Check your Trust Wallet app or Trust Wallet Help Center for the most current details.

7. How is the exchange rate determined?

Exchange rates are based on real-time market data and will be shown to you in-app before confirming the transaction.

8. The QR code isn’t scanning - what should I do?

Make sure your internet connection is stable, your camera is clear, and the QR code is well-lit. Adjust your screen brightness or refresh the code if needed.

9. How long does a QR payment take?

Most payments confirm within seconds, depending on network conditions. You can check status in your Trust Wallet transaction history.

10. Can I cancel a payment after sending it?

No. Once confirmed on the blockchain, crypto payments can’t be reversed. Always double-check before you send.

11. I paid but the merchant hasn’t received the funds - what now?

Check if your transaction shows as confirmed. If it’s pending, wait for network confirmation. If confirmed but not received, contact support with your Order ID.

12. How do I know a QR code is safe?

Only scan codes from trusted merchants or verified sources. Avoid codes sent via random messages or unofficial channels.

13. Why does it say “Invalid QR”?

This can happen if your internet is weak, the QR is blurry or dim, or your screen brightness is low. Try rescanning or refreshing the code.

14. Do I need to update my Trust Wallet app?

Yes. Keep your app up to date to ensure smooth QR scanning and secure payments.

15. Having issues with your payment?

For QR Pay product-related issues, you can reach out through the Trust Wallet Help Center.

If a payment fails or your funds don’t arrive, directly contact us through the support@wellowallet.com, or our messenger at https://intercom.help/wellowealth/en/. Please include your Order ID so we can help you faster.
