Your account will be verified once we have verified your identity. We'll attempt to verify your identity during the onboarding process. If we're unable to verify your identity instantly, we may require additional information from you. In this instance, it can take up to 48 hours to finalise verification once we have received any additional information from you.
The time it takes to verify your WeMoney account depends on the verification method you choose. Below are the expected time frames for both the in-app verification process and the manual verification process:
In-App Verification
Once you have downloaded the WeMoney App, you will be guided through the sign-up process where you will have the opportunity to verify your current Australian Driver’s Licence or Australian Passport. This process is typically quick and should only take 2-5 minutes to complete.
Manual Verification
If your in-app verification is unsuccessful or if you are required to complete a manual verification (e.g. uploading documents), this will take slightly longer. Our support team will manually review your documents, and the verification process will be completed within the following time frames:
Business Days (Monday to Friday): Less than 12 hours
Weekends: Less than 48 hours
