When is build season?
FRC build season typically runs from early January through late February, with district and regional events continuing through April. This is our busiest time of year — order volume surges and popular items can go on backorder quickly. Planning ahead gives your team the best shot at getting everything on time.
Shipping tips for build season
Here's how to make sure your parts arrive when you need them:
Order early. The sooner you order, the better your chances of everything being in stock. Waiting until week 3 or 4 of build season means higher backorder risk.
Use FedEx Express for deadline-critical orders. FedEx Express Saver, 2 Day, and Overnight services have guaranteed delivery dates. FedEx Ground and USPS do not — their estimates are not commitments. If you have a hard deadline, Express is the way to go.
Order before 1:00 PM PST for same-day shipping. Most in-stock orders placed before the cutoff ship the same day. During peak build season, processing may take up to 2 business days.
Check the Stock Status page. Before you order, check wcproducts.com/pages/stock-status for current ETAs on popular items. This page is updated regularly.
Backordered items during build season
If your order contains a mix of in-stock and backordered items, here's what happens:
US orders: In-stock items ship right away. Backordered items ship in a second shipment at no extra cost once they're back in stock.
International orders: The entire order is held until all items are in stock to avoid multiple rounds of customs fees. If you need a split shipment anyway, contact us and we'll arrange it.
You can still place an order for backordered items to reserve your spot in line — we fulfill on a first-in, first-out basis.
