WeTrack's latest update is about improving what is already there, more than about adding lots of new things... The consolidation and improvements included in this bit of work should make using WeTrack faster, easier and even more productive!

The importer has undergone some major work (take note, admin users!):

  • All imports are now run through a back-end process, rather than straight away on the user side. What this means is that you will still go through the same validation process as before with your imports, but once an import is validated it will be queued up for our servers to process, and you will receive an email as soon as it is complete - this will usually take around 10 minutes.

  • As a result you can now import larger volumes of data (up to 1000 rows at a time) and should experience a much cleaner import process!

The transition between the main site and the Reporting, Gantt and Incidents sections will now be much faster:

  • We knew that speed between these parts of the system had been lagging so we have worked hard on making these transitions much quicker.

Email templates are getting a makeover:

  • We are in the process of improving all the emails you receive from WeTrack. You will notice much better looking emails if you receive a shared report or incident, get mentioned in a comment, or receive incident updates.

  • Further improvements to come on other emails soon!

A couple of Reporting updates we hope you will find useful:

  • On Risk and Issue reports, the Additional Info field is now available in the extra row, allowing you to be more specialised in how you report on risks.

  • On reports where you have the option of seeing Comments & Activity in the extra row, you can now choose to view just Comments instead, cutting out the system changes which might be less relevant.

There have also been lots of general fixes and improvements:

  • To filters, especially around dates and milestones, as well as to the way that filters appear in the header of the site (to take up less space).

  • To saving reports, especially around overwriting and saving new reports, as well as to copying Suggested Reports into your Favourite Reports.

  • To reporting in general: better speed, fewer issues when editing existing reports and changing extra rows, charts working better and faster, etc.

  • To styling around the system: you may notice the Add Task/Risk/Project forms, or the alerts you receive, or the Add Incident modal, among many other smaller changes.

  • As well as much more...
