Outline

Trends represent 'estimated events that are preventing employees from improving engagement'. You can see Trend affecting each employee on the "Member Support" screen.

Characteristics

The algorithm for estimating Trend involves the following two factors.

  • Support priority: We target those whose support priority is 0.1 or higher.

  • Relative value of scores: To estimate Trends, we classify the combination of items that are distinctive in an individual's score. For example, we detect patterns such as "scores of A and B are substantially lower than other items" or "scores of A are substantially higher than other items and scores of B are substantially lower". Only the result of latest survey is used to estimate Trend.

To date, there are 15 types of Trend that can be seen on the "Member Support" screen.

How to interpret

1. A case when multiple Trends are displayed in one employee.

This case is not rare and can be interpreted from a combination of multiple Trend. By doing so, it is possible to analogize what is preventing an employee from improving his/her engagement from various perspectives such as management, corporate culture, and individual's recognition.

2. A case when too many Trends are displayed in one employee.

Some cases exist in which more than five different Trends affect one employee, making interpretation difficult. This is thought to be the result of a combination of several factors. We hope that, in these cases, you will use Trend as reference information for dialogue with him/her.

3. A case when no Trends are displayed in one employee despite having a high support priority

In some cases, there are no Trends affecting one employee despite the high support priority score. Trend represents a pattern that seems to be common to each company. Therefore, the absence of Trend may reflect industry- or your company-specific characteristics.
