You can choose to display a secondary language alongside your primary choice in the what3words app. This means every time you tap a square you’ll see a what3words address in two languages.

Here’s how to do this in the app:

  1. Open the app menu at the top left, then tap Settings.

  2. Tap Display settings, select Secondary what3words address language.

  3. Tap Select secondary language to get the list of languages and select the one you want. If prompted, download the language pack.*

On Android devices, you’ll need to restart the app once you’ve added a new language. On iOS, no restart is needed.

*Switching to a language other than English (UK) involves a small download, which contains the language pack.

It is not possible to display a secondary language on the online map.
