Ascend Integration Guide

Whippet Notes integration seamlessly converts your spoken consultations into clinical notes, delivering them directly into Ascend - say goodbye to copy & pasting.

This guide walks you through the process of setting up the integration.


How the Ascend integration works

  1. Your daily appointments sync with Whippet Notes and can be visible via the dropdown when you start a consult recording.

  2. Whippet Notes converts your recording into clinical notes and automatically sends them directly into the consult notes section (in Ascend) on the patient you have chosen.

  3. Any edits made to your notes in Whippet will automatically update in Ascend.


Setting up the integration

1. Sign Up: If you haven't already, create a Whippet Notes account.

2. Complete Integration Enrolment: Complete the Covetrus Clinic Integration Enrolment Form 2025 (No-Fee Quote).pdf and email your completed for to the Covetrus team, please cc support@whippetnotes.com.

Ensure you tick the box that allows Covetrus team to execute the no-fee quote on your behalf. This is needed for tracking purposes and no additional fees will result in this integration.

3. API Configuration: Covetrus will configure the integration on their side and email us the API connection details, we will then update on our side.

4. Integration Onboarding: Upon configuration completion, we will email you to notify that the integration has been successfully connected and provide an onboarding guide to show you how it works.
