Webchat settings control the widget's appearance, greeting, channel visibility, and installation snippet so website visitors can message your team directly.

Key Concepts

Bubble image: The image shown on the webchat bubble. You can upload, resize, replace, or remove it.

Bubble color and position: These settings control the widget's visual style and where it appears on the website.

Channel visibility: Webchat can show selected channels to customers when they open the widget.

Step-by-Step: Configure Webchat

  1. Open Settings > Webchat.

  2. Update Bubble image if the widget should use a custom image.

  3. Set Bubble color.

  4. Choose Bubble position.

  5. Choose the widget visibility option shown on the page.

  6. Use Select which channels you want your customers to see to choose visible channels.

  7. Update Greeting and save it.

  8. Copy or review the webchat snippet if the website installation needs to be updated.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use a bubble color that is readable on your website background.

  • Keep the greeting short and helpful.

  • Only expose channels that customers should use from the website.

  • After changing webchat settings, test the widget on the website.

The greeting may not have been saved.

Edit Greeting and use the save action again.

Review Settings > Channels and then return to Webchat.

Review the snippet in Webchat settings and update the website installation.
