Credit card payment not working

Troubleshoot failed credit card payments

Updated over 11 months ago

If your credit card payment is failing, here are some of the most common issues we are seeing.

  • Not enough funds - Check that you have enough money in your bank account.

  • Failed authentication - You haven't confirmed the transaction in your banking app on time.

  • Card policy - Your credit card has some restrictions in place—contact your bank.

  • Security/Fraud - The bank believes that someone might have stolen your card, or that the transaction is fraudulent—contact your bank.

If you're still having trouble after contacting your bank, you can pay in different ways:

  • Wire transfer

  • Instant transfer (open banking) - Available for UK and Europe

You can see more about your payment options in our Payment options article.
