Learn how to use the Blending Board to build words and swap tiles with ease during lessons.

The Blending Board is a dynamic tool that helps you build words and swap tiles quickly and effectively. It’s especially useful for students with limited mouse skills, as they can click tiles to place them in the box without the need for precise dragging and dropping.

Using the Blending Board

Click the Blender icon in the toolbar to activate the Blending Board.

ℹ️ The Blender icon will be highlighted in purple when the Blending Board is active.

Add tiles to the Blending Board by clicking on them or by dragging them to one of the boxes. Clicking on tiles places them in the box above the gray bar. Use this setup to swap out single tiles effortlessly. For example, you can easily change "top" to "tap" to "tip." You can also click on another box to move the gray bar to a new location.

💡 The gray bar is perfect for practicing small changes in word patterns!

Clicking on the gray bar will turn it into an arrow so that you can progress through each box in sequence, allowing you to swap out entire words one letter at a time.

Adjust the number of boxes using the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons in order to customize the activity for different levels of complexity.
