Adding a workbook from scratch or from the database

There are several ways to add workbooks in Whizzimo. This article shows how to:

  • Add your own custom word lists by creating a workbook from scratch. This option works great if you already know the words you want.

  • Create a workbook using the database. This option works great if you want the system to generate words for you based on your criteria.

Create From Scratch:

  1. Go into the course where the workbook should be added

  2. Select add a workbook

  3. Choose Create From Scratch the drop down list

  4. Name your workbook and click continue

  5. Type your words into the exact filter card using a comma in between each word

  6. Be sure to click sight if your workbook includes sight words

  7. Be sure to click nonsense if your workbook includes nonsense words

  8. When are done adding your words, select find words on the bottom

  9. Your words will show up in the word list on the right side

  10. Once everything looks good, choose save and close in the upper right corner.

Create from Whizzimo's Database

  1. Go into the course where the workbook should be added

  2. Select add a workbook

  3. Choose Create from Whizzimo's Database in the drop down list

  4. Name your workbook and click continue

  5. Work your way through the filters to generate the words you want

  6. To add more filters, choose add a filter on the bottom.

  7. Be sure to click sight if your workbook includes sight words

  8. Be sure to click nonsense if your workbook includes nonsense words

  9. When are ready for the words to be generated, select find words on the bottom

  10. Your words will show up in the word list on the right side

  11. Once everything looks good, choose save and close in the upper right corner.
