Whizzimo's Hardware and Software Recommendations for Educators and Students
Updated over a week ago

Both teacher and student should use a computer. See below for Whizzimo's hardware and software tech recommendations for both educators and students:

  • Log in using the Google Chrome browser. We do not recommend using Safari, Edge, Firefox, or any other web browsers. Please make sure to update the Google Chrome browser whenever you see that an update is available.

  • Supported Operating Systems: Windows 10+, macOS 13+

  • RAM: minimum 4GB

  • Processors: minimum Intel i5, Apple M1, AMD Ryzen 5, or equivalent

  • Web speed: minimum 8 Mbps up/down

  • Drive Type: Solid State Hard Drive (SSD). Do not purchase or use a computer with the drive type Hard Disk Drive (HDD)

We do not officially recommend specific computers, but most computers purchased in the last few years that meet the requirements above will run Whizzimo just fine.

Internally, we have found that the most recent releases of the HP Spectre x360 line and the Apple MacBook or MacBook Air lines run Whizzimo well, especially when doing remote tutoring.
