NFC-based ID verification is a secure way to confirm your identity using the chip inside your passport or ID card. Many modern identity documents include this chip, which stores official personal data issued by authorities.
During verification, if your document supports NFC, you will be offered a quick option to scan it with your phone.

What does NFC verification do?
NFC allows the system to read information directly from your document’s chip, such as your name, document number, and photo. This data is compared with the information you provided and the photo you submitted.
Because the data comes straight from the chip, it is much harder to fake or alter.
How the process works
The process is simple and only takes a moment.
First, you take a photo of your identity document as usual. If your document supports NFC, you will then be asked to scan it.
To do this, you hold your document against your phone. The system will read the chip and securely extract the information. Once the scan is complete, your data is automatically checked and your verification continues.
If your phone does not support NFC or the scan cannot be completed, you can usually continue with the standard verification process.
Why NFC verification is better
NFC adds an extra layer of protection to your identity check.
It helps ensure that:
Your document is genuine and not a copy
The information has not been altered
The person verifying is the real document holder
This makes the process safer for you and helps prevent identity fraud.
What you need
To complete NFC verification, you only need:
An original ID document with a chip (such as a passport or modern ID card)
A smartphone with NFC enabled
NFC verification is fast, secure, and designed to make identity checks more reliable while keeping the process simple for you.
