Free text, advance and string searches to find results quicker

The search function allows you to quickly locate your required information within a large dataset, with the ability to free text search, apply advances search via filters, or use a series of string searches to locate your project, or task.

The 3 search methods include:

1. Free text search box

By simply clicking into the box and begin typing, it acts as a general search and can include results from client names, project names, task names etc, which may result in a long list of results. Via this method you can input a part, or full name of your search, the more accurate with the detail, the easier it will be to locate the item. When you've finished typing your search requirements, click enter and your results will appear.

2. Advanced search

By clicking on the icon within the search bar, a drop-down will appear, showing search categories to aid in filtering results and locate the data quicker. The search categories include due date, label, name, team to further enhance search functionality.

3. String search

You can further improve search results by creating a string search, combining multiple categories to locate the required project, or task quickly.

Click on the search Icon, locate the category, type in your keyword and add a semi-colon at the end. The semi-colon indicates you're ready to include another search category and will open the pop-up box again.

4. Refining the Projects list

You have the ability to refine the data shown in the project view by clicking on the Status button directly under the search bar. This will enable you to search within a specific project status such as Pending, or In Progress.

5. Refining the Tasks list

The same functionality applies to the task view, with options for:

Status

Options include Any, Open and Closed

Assigned to

Any user, Assigned to me, Owned by me

Date

Newest, Oldest, Newest Start and Oldest Due
