FCP User guide
The Wipster integration for Final Cut Pro has two main parts:
The Wipster Desktop App - Used to login to your account, and navigate your Wipster Project Library to locate media with comments you wish to sync with Final Cut Pro
The Final Cut Pro workflow extension - Displays comments from the synced media and moves the Final Cut playhead to the timestamp of a selected comment, so you know the exact moment the feedback applies to. Allows you to reply to comments and mark tasks as complete from within FCP.
Installation
Install ‘Wipster Desktop’ from the Apple App Store.
Open Final Cut Pro. The ‘Wipster’ workflow extension has been added to the header bar. Look for the Wipster ‘W’ logo in your extensions dropdown.
Using the Integration
Open your project
From Final Cut Pro open the Project that corresponds to the media you need to work on.
Open the Wipster workflow extension
Open the Wipster workflow extension by clicking the ‘W’ button in the header bar.
From the workflow extension click the ‘Open Wipster’ button. This will open the Desktop App.
Login to Wipster
Login to Wipster via the prompt in the Desktop App.
This will open your default web browser and take you to Wipster login page.
If you are already logged into the Wipster web application then you’ll be returned to the Desktop App else you’ll need to provide your login details.
Once logged in you can close the browser tab.
Locate your media
You’ll now be logged into the Desktop App and can start the process of locating your desired media.
If you have access to multiple Wipster Teams you’ll be defaulted to the last one you logged into. If this isn’t the Team you wish to use choose one from the hamburger menu at the top left of the screen
Choose your media
Navigate your Wipster Project Library to locate the media you wish to sync.
Click ‘Sync to FCP’. The workflow extension will be populated with the comments from you selected media. From now on you’ll be using the workflow extension so feel free to minimize the Desktop App.

Closed the Desktop App? You can quickly navigate back to it it by pressing the ‘<’ icon next to the media name in the workflow extension.
Respond to the feedback
Click on a comment in the workflow extension to move the FCP playhead to the the corresponding timestamp so you can make any edits required.

If a comment has an image attachment it can be viewed and downloaded from the Desktop app.
From the Wipster Panel you can also:
Reply to a comment. Seek clarification on the feedback or privately discuss approaches with colleagues.
Check off the comment to let your colleagues know that you’ve completed any edits associated with it.

You can choose to show only Incomplete comments so you know which ones still have work to do.
