Settings give you, the user, the ability to control a number of variables on your own without the help of a Wiser team member.

Price Comparison

We recognize products being priced the same when they are within 1% variance of the benchmark pricing we receive from our customers. You have the option to change this variance here, which will affect all products across all retailers equally.

Price Visibility Timeout

This is a threshold in number of days to define whether the a last extracted product price should be considered as valid or expired. For example, if this is set at 14 days, any product price extracted more than 14 days ago will be considered expired, and that data will fall off the main dashboards, such as Competitive Intelligence Win/Tie/Loss metrics, as the system assumes you are no longer interested in this data.

Price Volatility

This setting enables Price Volatility Metrics calculations and make the following new columns available in Report Builder: # of Price changes, % of Price changes, Standard Deviation and Variance, over different predefined periods of time.

These metrics help you understand how often and to what degree your competitors are changing prices. You can define what level of change in flat currency figures ($) or percentage (%) should be considered as a price change for the calculations. For instance, if 0% is defined, then any change in price, regardless if very small, will be considered a price change. If 1% is defined, then only changes equal or greater than 1% will be considered as a price change for the Price Volatility Metrics.
