WishTender now uses a central infrastructure with multiple API services for payment processing, payouts, and miscellaneous services. These separate services used to be under one roof with our previous payment platform, Stripe.

In our new system, secure API payment services and merchant accounts are plugged into our infrastructure and can be modularly added and removed; if one payment API provider drops out, a backup can easily take its place without the user's experience changing much. Having our own payment orchestration is more durable than relying on a payment platform, as we did with Stripe.
