So you've received your first gift post activation --- Firstly, a congratulations! We're happy to see you using WishTender πŸŽ‰. This article will cover the necessary information you need to know about WishTender's current payment system and what happens after you receive a gift.

Covered sections:

πŸ” Your Payment Dashboard

After receiving your first gift, you'll find that the numbers in your Balance section will have updated to reflect it, but your Available to Withdraw numbers remain unchanged and the "Receiving payouts on WishTender" section is still grayed out. Why is this?

ℹ️ When a sender gives you a gift on WishTender, it takes time for the money to travel from their bank to our processor. When the money finally arrives at our processor, our system will mark the settled amount as being 'available'. This is why, during the time it takes to travel between banks, the dashboard tells you that you 'have' the money in your Balance but it's not yet available to cash out.

πŸ’‘ Our beta testers have observed that it takes around 24-48 hours since receiving a gift for the money to become available to withdraw.

πŸ’Έ When can I set up my payout account?

This section of the Payment Dashboard will unlock when you have enough money available to withdraw. In the image above, the user will need $25.00 for example.

ℹ️ This is because we take into account the payout fees applied for each country + the one-time age verification fee you'll need to pay for the first payout. The minimum amount is to ensure that subtracting the fees mentioned won't leave you without any money left.

πŸ•‘ What's the timing around payment processing?

After initiating a payout, you should see:

  • Emails from our payment partner confirming that the money is coming your way.

  • The status of the payout in your Transaction History will change from "Processing" to "Processed". ( Note that Processed means that our payment partner has sent the money towards your bank, not that the money should already be in your account)

*In the emails you receive, there will be an ETA, however this estimation is not always accurate. The payout should arrive within 2 business days, but there are cases where they take longer. If it's past 5 days and it's still not in your account, please reach out to our customer support.

πŸ’‘ The first payout generally takes longer because it needs to go past various initial security checks. Also keep in mind that most banks generally do not process on the weekends so if you cash out close to or on the weekend, you won't receive it until the next business day.

ℹ️ European users may find that payouts arrive much faster for them, this is because some European countries support RTP rails, allowing for almost-instant payouts.
