How to connect your Eventbrite Account to Withfriends

Withfriends makes it’s easy to integrate your Eventbrite account and quickly launch a membership program that can boost your ticket revenue by at least 5-10%

This article contains step by step information on how to setup your account on Withfriends and link it to your Eventbrite account:

Creating Your Account:

If you haven’t already, follow this link to become an organizer on withfriends:

Here you’ll fill out basic information about your organization which will auto-create a membership discount program based on the types of shows you do, the average ticket price, and more.

Connecting Your Eventbrite Account

Once your account on Withfriends has been created, we’ll invite you to connect your Eventbrite account!

Here are the steps:

Navigate to your dashboard: withfriends.co/your_organization/dashboard


Click Edit Profile

Click through Connect Eventbrite

Sign in to the Eventbrite Website

And that’s it!

You’ll be redirected to your dashboard on Withfriends and can begin importing events from Eventbrite.

Adding Events From Eventbrite

Once your account has been connected, you can import your existing events from Eventbrite:

On your Dashboard click, "+ Add Event"

Click "+ Add from Eventbrite"

Select your Event from your list

Enter in remaining details!

FAQ:

How do people become members?

  • For every event you add to Withfriends, any ticketbuyer of that event will get a chance to become a member in three ways:

  • The ticketbuyer will be redirected to a beautiful upsell splash page immediately after completing checkout.

  • The ticketbuyer will get an upsell email that allows them to know about memberships and become a member with a special link. If there's a rebate, it will have special langauge around that opportunity. They will only receive this mail if they are not a member. It will happen at every purchase.

  • Ticketbuyers will receive a link to your membership page on the Eventbrite ticket receipt, and the confirmation mail from Eventbrite.

  • Finally, they can become members directly by visiting your membership page. Your membership page can be found here: withfriends.co/YOUR_ORGANIZATION/join

How do discounts work?

  • We automate the discounts. Members have access to discounted tickets, based on their membership level, automatically for every event you add to Withfriends. They simply need to initiate their purchase from your Withfriends page when signed into Withfriends as a member.

How do rebates work?

  • We apply member discount immediately on the ticket purchase, as an attraction to becoming a member now.  We apply this automatically as credit on their membership payments.

How many events should I add?

  • If you don't add a specific event to Withfriends, then nothing will happen for ticketbuyers of that event on Eventbrite.  To enable memberships for an event, you will need to add each event to Withfriends (it's one click per event.). If you'd like to turn Withfriends on for all of your events, reach out at support@withfriends.co or via the chat bubble.

Where do I update my events with new info?

  • If you update an event on Eventbrite, the changes in the title, description, and cover image will reflect itself on Withfriends within 3 hours.

Pro-Tip: You can exclude discounts from specific tiers when you need to, by going to the discount & promo code management area on Eventbrite for the event you manage.  Look for "multi-event discount codes", and you'll see codes that are named withfriends and have the names of your membership tiers as part of them.  Simply uncheck the tiers for which discounts do not apply!
