Sell subscription boxes automatically

By adding subscription boxes to your memberships, you can double your business revenue while connecting with the members of your community who want to support you the most. Withfriends helps sell subscription boxes to your customers with our e-commerce and point-of-sale integrations, and turns your one-time purchasers into weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual subscribers.

Withfriends makes it easy to offer subscription boxes. We collect shipping addresses, options like size, color, or flavor, and *add-ons that can increase the total membership value. Our store integrations allow you to use Shopify fulfillment partner services. With every signup, we ask members to leave a testimonial and to tell their friends how much they love your business.

Once you’re getting members, it’s easy to manage subscriptions, from 10 members to 1,000.

Reminder notifications

Before every shipment date, Withfriends automatically notifies your subscribers to update their address, edit any options, and select add-ons* for the upcoming delivery.

Member management

All the member needs to do is click the link in their email, or log in at https://withfriends.co to access their Member dashboard. They can manage their membership benefits at any time.

Once a member chooses an option or *add-on, this will continue to be rolled over for any upcoming fulfillment, until they change them.

Managing fulfillments (Shopify merchants)

If you’re using our Shopify integration, we will automatically generate orders in Shopify. You can manage your subscription box fulfillments along with all your other orders directly inside Shopify. This can keep your workflow nice and streamlined!

Manage fulfillments (For everyone else)

When it’s time to send out your shipments to your members, just navigate to the Member management tab of your Business dashboard. You can see a list of your upcoming deliveries, along with all the necessary information for packing and labeling the shipments

  • Member name + Member tier

  • Subscription box w/ any options and *add-ons

  • Shipping date + address

Once you’re done, just mark the subscription as fulfilled. When it’s time for the next shipment, a new fulfillment will be generated. You can use the drop-down to see your list of past fulfillments at any time.

Now that you know how the features work, try them out now by adding them to any tier of your memberships.

Setup

Navigate to the Memberships tab in your business dashboard and select Tiers. Click on any membership tier and scroll down to “Add subscription box.

We recommend adding at least one subscription box to your highest membership tier. A great template is to add a monthly subscription to your highest tier and a quarterly subscription to your middle tier.

Consider converting welcome gifts at your lowest tier into annual subscription boxes. This increases engagement and reduces overall member drop-off.

Pricing + frequency

If you already have an existing membership level that you are adding a subscription box to, add the face value of the item to the price of the membership.

If you want to make a cheaper membership, simply offer the item at a lower frequency (i.e. $30 shirt quarterly at $10/month, or $30/month for monthly shirt).

If your product supports it, consider adding a high tier weekly subscription box, as people who really love your product will pay 4x more for weekly boxes than for monthly boxes.

Options + add-ons

Options are for choices that don’t change the price (flavor of ice cream, color, or shirt size).

Add-ons are for additional items that cost extra (for extra, extra spinach in their farm box). Add-ons have the potential to increase your revenue by 25-100% per member.

Add as many options or add-ons as you’d like, change them at any time. If you change any options or add-ons, any current subscribers who have selected them will lose those selections. Discounts can be applied to add-ons, if also available publicly.

Next shipment date

Enter the first or next upcoming shipment date. These dates are set, so you can easily plan around them. Based on the interval you set, the next shipment will be automatically generated 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year, or whatever custom interval you set after the date you enter.

You can change this at any time.
