Starting November 1, Withfriends has updated the rhythm for how monthly membership payouts work.

The update consolidates a system of multiple payouts every month into a single payout each month of all cleared charges from the previous month.

This update serves a diverse group of merchants and organizers on Withfriends, variously using prorated (all memberships renew on the first) and rolling frequencies (all memberships renew at the date of signup) for renewals. This also solves for payment errors, in which some memberships don't successful renew on the first, and instead are paid out later in the month. You've possibly experienced months in the past with many small payouts; this will no longer occur in the new, unified system.

To compliment this update, please let us know if you need a manual transfer of any pending funds. To see your recent and upcoming payouts, simply navigate to your dashboard, select the Memberships tab, then Reports, then Payouts.

For more details on visualizing this transition, here is an example payouts screen:

Note multiple payouts in July, August, September, and October.

In November, because the majority of funds would have already been paid out in October, you will either see a small payout (only new signups and donations since the previous payout), or no payout at all. This is one-time, transition behavior.

All membership fees renewed in November are already pending for an upcoming payout in December. Click the Transfer ID to view all the successful charges - new charges will be added through the month as they clear, or as new signups or donations are processed.

Subsequently, all charges in December will be paid out in January, and so forth, with a single payout, greatly simplifying your bookkeeping and reporting.
