Members prefer paying in the monthly intervals that they are familiar with from Netflix and Amazon Prime.

But if you ship boxes quarterly, you need to make sure every box is fully paid for. Here's how to use the Commitments feature to limit cancellations.

Visit your Advanced dashboard by clicking Advanced Options in Shopify, or visiting https://withfriends.co/ {YOUR ORG} /dashboard

Click Tiers > Edit Tier > Advanced and set up a commitment period.

This will make it so that if a member wants to cancel, they'll need to wait until their commitment period is up.

Commitments that renew after each period (recommended)

Members make payments monthly and can press cancel at any time. If they cancel before the current commitment period is up, they continue to pay for the remaining months. In the example above, if a member signs up on January 1st and presses cancel on February 1st after two payments, they will continue to pay the third payment on March 1st and their cancellation will go into effect on April 1st. If they press cancel on May 1st, they will continue to pay the third payment on June 1st and their cancellation will go into effect on July 1st.

Commitments that do not renew

If you uncheck "Commitment renews after each period", the commitment only applies for the first period.
