Adding Inventory

Access via: Left sidebar > Add Inventory

Available Methods

Certificate Numbers

For graded cards. Input one or multiple cert numbers; Mascot auto-pulls details from the grading company.

AI Card Recognition

Upload or scan card images; Mascot AI identifies and generates listing details.

CSV Import

For bulk uploads. Upload spreadsheet, map fields to Mascot's system, confirm import.

Import eBay Listings

Migrate existing eBay inventory directly into Mascot.

Import Whatnot Listings

Sync existing Whatnot listings into Mascot. Card Condition must be manually set for raw/ungraded items.

Create Manually

Full control — search/enter details, fill title, condition, quantity, pricing.

Import eBay Purchases

Automatically sync items you purchased on eBay into Mascot. This does not include purchases made before the account was linked.

Import from CGC

Sync graded submissions directly from CGC.

Mobile Scanner

Use scan.withmascot.com on any phone (iOS or Android).

Flatbed Scanner

Scan multiple raw or graded cards at once using a flatbed scanner.

After Adding Items

  • Items appear in your Collection

  • Edit quantity, pricing, and tags as needed

  • Use List to publish to marketplaces

  • Use Sync to keep listings updated

Tip: Use AI Recognition or Cert Numbers for speed. Use CSV for large inventories. Double-check imported data before listing. Organize with tags.

Import from CSV

Use CSV Import to add multiple items to your collection at once using a spreadsheet.

Steps

  1. Go to Add Inventory.

  2. Select Import from CSV.

  3. Upload your CSV file or download the Mascot template.

  4. Map your spreadsheet columns to the appropriate Mascot fields.

  5. Review the import settings and confirm.

4.3 AI Card Recognition — Scan Settings

When uploading images for AI processing, configure the following:

Format

  • Single Items — each photo contains one card

  • Flatbed Scanner — multiple cards per image (AI detects and crops each card)

Content

  • Front and Back (Recommended)

  • Front Only or Back Only — if that's what you scanned

Authentication

  • Mixed — upload contains both graded and raw cards

  • All Graded — all items are graded slabs

  • All Ungraded (Raw) — all items are raw cards

  • "Prefer grading company images" checkbox — when enabled, uses official PSA/CGC images instead of your uploaded photos

Important for Flatbed Scanning: If a card is top-left on the front scan, it must also be top-left on the back scan. Do NOT move or rotate cards between scans. Keep the scanner lid OPEN (dark background helps AI detect card edges). Leave space between cards. Scan at 200 DPI or higher.

4.4 Mobile Scanning (scan.withmascot.com)

  1. Open your phone browser and go to scan.withmascot.com.

  2. Sign in with your Mascot email and password.

  3. Choose Single Item mode (recommended) or Multiple Items (bulk).

  4. Single Item: Take front photo > back photo > Continue > AI processes > Review > Save to Inventory.

  5. Bulk: Photograph several cards laid out, take front and back group photos, AI separates each card.

  6. Review and fix any AI mistakes (player, set, grade). Add cost, tags, or notes on mobile.

Works great at card shows for instant inventory scanning. Also works with barcode scanning for existing inventory.

4.5 Non-Card Inventory (Sealed Wax, Coins, Memorabilia, etc.)

  1. Go to Add Inventory > Create Items Manually.

  2. In the Quick Start popup, select Other (not Graded Card or Raw Card).

  3. Select the appropriate Product Category:

  • Sports Cards, Sealed Wax / Boxes, Coins, Memorabilia, Autographs, TCG, Other Collectibles

  1. Fill in Item Specifics: Product Name, Manufacturer, Year, Set/Series, Card Number (if applicable), Player/Athlete.

  2. Upload images (up to 8), add grading/autograph details, purchase info, and pricing.

  3. Click SAVE TO COLLECTION.

Import eBay Purchases

Automatically syncs new eBay purchases (in any supported category) to your Mascot inventory. Mascot saves the associated cost and adds the item directly to your collection — no manual entry needed.

Not the same as "Import eBay Listings." That feature pulls in items you're currently selling on eBay. This feature pulls in items you buy on eBay (e.g., restocking inventory from other sellers).

How to Set It Up

  1. From the Inventory Dashboard, click Add Inventory.

  2. Under Other Sync Tools, click Import eBay Purchases.

  3. In the eBay Purchase Imports modal, leave (or check) Track eBay Purchases Automatically.

  4. Click Save.

Once saved, any future eBay purchases in supported categories will automatically sync to your Mascot collection, including cost.

Where to Find Imported Items

  1. Go to your Inventory table.

  2. Click Columns (or the column menu) and select Imports.

  3. In the Imports filter, choose eBay Purchases.

This filters your inventory to show only items that came in through the eBay Purchases sync — useful for reviewing new stock or auditing costs before relisting.
