How to Edit Images in Mascot

Mascot allows you to crop and rotate images directly within the platform, making it easier to correct image orientation or adjust framing without editing the image on your computer first.

How to Edit an Image

  1. Open the item you want to edit.

  2. Go to the Images section.

  3. Hover over the image you want to change.

  4. Click Edit Image.

  5. Use the available editing tools:

    • Crop — Draw a box around the portion of the image you want to keep.

    • Rotate Left — Rotate the image to the left.

    • Rotate Right — Rotate the image to the right.

    • Clear Crop — Remove your current crop selection.

  6. Click Save Crop or Save Image to apply your changes.

Important: Editing Replaces the Original Image

When you save an edited image, the edited version replaces the original image. Mascot does not automatically keep a copy of the original.

If you want to keep both the original and an edited version:

  1. Keep the existing image unchanged.

  2. Click Add to upload another copy of the image.

  3. Edit the newly uploaded copy.

  4. Crop or rotate it as needed and save.

This allows you to keep the original image while also having an edited version on the item.
