About the starter Funds

Comprising of Slow & Steady, Balanced bundle, and Growth Stack funds

Updated over a week ago

These starter funds can often be considered a sensible starting point for new investors. They offer a broad cross-section of the world economy, giving the stability of bonds, combined with the potential for higher gains that shares provide.

These funds are well-diversified, meaning your money will be spread over different types of holdings. Spreading your money helps protects you, because if one sector or company in the portfolio performs badly then your losses are minimised, as only a small proportion of your overall investment is tied to that specific asset.

Who Manages These Funds?

These funds are managed by Vanguard, one of the biggest Investment Managers in the world. They have over 40 years of expertise running low cost index-funds. In addition, Vanguard’s structure means they are owned by their clients (people who invest in their funds). They use excess money to lower costs, rather than to make profits, which keeps things as cheap as possible for you!

Note that each fund's 'risk level' is set and cannot be changed. If you want to 'increase/decrease' the risk you would need to invest in another fund.
